Job Summary
Manage customer requests for quotes from intake through fulfillment by reviewing blueprints, drawings, and specifications to define technical requirements. Research historical data and prior orders to support accurate quoting, while identifying and qualifying vendors to fulfill complex customer needs for military vehicle systems like engines and braking assemblies. Request and evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, and secure competitive sourcing before reviewing and approving purchase orders to ensure compliance. Oversee order execution to guarantee timely delivery and adherence to quality standards, serving as the main point of contact for resolving issues related to quality, delivery, or non-conformance. Coordinate with internal support staff to manage data entry, order tracking, and supplier follow-up while monitoring project timelines and contract requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline
- 10+ years of combined experience
- Hands-on experience working with mechanical components in a machining or manufacturing environment
- Technical program management, engineering support, or application-based roles involving customer, supplier, or product ownership
- Experience working with defense-related programs, including familiarity with DLA (Defense Logistics Agency) requirements
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Hands-on knowledge of mechanical components, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Strong communication skills for working with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
