Job Summary
Program Manager I to oversee two Permanent Supportive Housing programs, manage a team of 2 Case Managers and 1 Program Specialist, ensure program and contractual deliverables, develop policies, manage budgets and contracts, assist with grant applications and reporting, coordinate program activities, conduct periodic case reviews, ensure HMIS data quality, monitor follow-up outcomes, and lead staff development and agency collaboration to improve housing stability outcomes for vulnerable participants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, social sciences or a closely related field (significant related work experience will be considered)
- 3+ years of experience with low income and/or homeless individuals and families
- 2+ years of experience supervising two or more staff
- Typing skills and computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
- Experience with HMIS systems, databases and administrative/office management responsibilities
- Ability to analyze budgets and program outcomes (rate, ratio, percent)
- Ability/willingness to work flexible hours
- Empathy and ability to relate to those experiencing homelessness and transition to housing stability
- Experience working in diverse settings with people across socio-economic spectrums
- Knowledge of best practices in homelessness interventions (housing first/rapid rehousing, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing)
- Leadership skills including goal setting, meetings, negotiation, diplomacy, integrity, and inclusion
- Strong oral/written communication and confidentiality
- Well-organized with ability to manage multiple assignments
- Self-motivation and accountability
- California driver license and auto insurance
- Criminal background check and TB test clearance
