Job Summary
Supervise day-to-day operations of the Alcohol & Drug Counselors and Recovery Care Specialist program, including assigned staff, interns, and volunteers. Ensure treatment services, assessments, documentation, and State reporting comply with Minnesota Statutes. Manage hiring, termination, and onboarding of personnel while monitoring staff performance and addressing medication errors. Generate staffing schedules, approve payroll, conduct annual reviews, and ensure adequate shift coverage. Collaborate with the Clinical Director on operational improvements and coordinate client events. Maintain compliance with Minnesota Statutes 245G.11 and complete required co-occurring mental health training within six months.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years relevant experience
- 2+ years being in a leadership role
- Licensed in the state of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Obtain 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems training within six months of hire
- At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances
- Must be comfortable working with people with life-controlling challenges, including mental health and addiction
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage time
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, staff, and leadership
- The ability to live and work by MnTC's culture of honor & core values – practicing compassion, honor, respect, integrity, servanthood, and trust
- Ability to successfully complete MN Dept of Human Services background study
- Knowledge and understanding of implications of Minnesota Statutes
- Must be able to meet specific staff requirements outlined in Minnesota Statutes 245G.11
