Job Summary
Update vendor systems to evaluate clients against risk tiers and insurance policies, translating customer requirements into platform rules and workflows. Develop reusable templates, endorsement libraries, and guides for internal teams and property managers, while reviewing exception requests to streamline approvals and document risk acceptance decisions. Collaborate with legal counsel to negotiate contract terms and establish protocols for non-standard agreements, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations for construction and maintenance services. Track vendor compliance rates, analyze incident data for pattern adjustments, and present metrics to executive leadership. Support sales teams with risk expertise during RFP responses and educate vendors on best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in commercial insurance
- hands-on experience in commercial lines brokerage
- hands-on experience in risk management
- hands-on experience in insurance compliance
- hands-on experience in contractor/vendor credentialing
- ideally serving property management, construction, or real estate clients
- active P&C License
- personal experience reviewing hundreds (if not thousands) of certificates of insurance
- ability to spot issues like missing additional insured endorsements
- ability to spot inadequate limits
- ability to spot improper waiver of subrogation language
- Deep knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverages
- knowledge of general liability
- knowledge of workers' compensation
- knowledge of professional liability
- knowledge of umbrella/excess
- knowledge of auto liability
- Proficiency in risk assessment frameworks
- Proficiency in credentialing or contract management platforms
- Proficiency in insurance certificate tracking
- Experience supporting or implementing risk management frameworks for enterprise clients
- Experience designing repeatable, documented processes for high-compliance or regulated workflows
- Strong written communication skills
- A calm, confident approach to solving problems in messy, high-urgency situations
