Job Summary
Review and assess Research Security Program Plans and procedures, and develop content for a Research Security Awareness Training program for Department of Commerce employees. Work with staff to build a comprehensive compliance program, assist in preparing mission materials, and develop policies and guidance related to Research Security and Insider Risk. Support staffing and tracking of Interagency, Task Force, and National Security Council taskings while attending required working groups. Evaluate program efficiency and effectiveness, make recommendations for improvement, and implement approved initiatives. Requires TS/SCI clearance, 8 years experience, and on-site presence at U.S. Department of Commerce Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI security clearance
- Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI crossover eligibility
- SCI-indoc'd or read out of SCI within the past 23 months
- US citizenship
- Full-time on-site work at U.S. Department of Commerce Headquarters, 1401 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC
- Occasional deployment via privately owned vehicle to the Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center
- Bachelor of Science degree
- Approximately 8 years' relevant experience
- Approximately 4 years in Research Security
- At least 4 of the years' experience in a supervisory role
- Demonstrated ability to write and speak clearly and succinctly
- Exceptionally strong writing ability
- Command of MS365 tools
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a federal environment at a Department/Agency-level Headquarters
- Master's degree
- Preferred in a federal environment at a Department/Agency-level Headquarters
