Job Summary
Lead cross-functional NPD programs for the Structural Heart business, driving PMO processes and tools to enable predictable execution. Develop and manage research and development programs, policies, and procedures to support profitable growth; provide leadership to design/development teams through the transfer phase of product development; ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met through interface with regulatory, customers, and other resources. Define and manage test plan protocols, SOPs, specifications, and test procedures; develop and maintain departmental budgets; contribute to strategic planning and participate in CAPA, complaints, and program reviews. Travel up to 10% and maintain collaboration across a matrixed global organization, while communicating effectively at multiple levels. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and PMP certification. Abbott is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in medical device development and/or other highly regulated industry
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
- Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Ability to travel up to approximately 10%
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
