Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of overdose reduction initiatives, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan while managing program budgets, allocating resources, and ensuring fiscal responsibility. Provide guidance to a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with community organizations and government agencies to foster partnerships. Monitor grant awards for compliance, report on milestones, and conduct ongoing needs assessments to identify improvement opportunities. Analyze program data, prepare reports, and implement quality assurance measures to ensure effectiveness. Deliver training programs to enhance staff and partner skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master's level education or at least 5 years of experience overseeing programs
- Strong understanding of the target population and individuals at risk, as well as those with substance abuse issues
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to work independently
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing programs
- Strong understanding of the needs, challenges, and cultural considerations related to people who use drugs and those with mental health concerns
- Familiarity with substance abuse issues, harm reduction strategies, and evidence-based interventions
- Proven ability to manage complex projects, set priorities, meet deadlines, and achieve program outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and competence in working with diverse populations
- Experience in managing grants, including compliance, reporting, and budget oversight
- Proficient in data analysis and interpretation, with knowledge of statistical software and data management systems
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving program goals
