Job Summary
Program Manager for Policy and Advocacy at GNHCC will lead the Legal & Advocacy Committee, conduct policy research, and develop organizational positions that promote equitable health outcomes. Responsibilities include drafting policy briefs, monitoring local to federal developments, coordinating advocacy campaigns and community mobilization, preparing reports and presentations for leadership and external partners, and translating policy research into actionable advocacy strategies. The role requires strategic thinking, strong written and analytical skills, and a commitment to health equity. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred) and 3+ years of experience in policy development or health-related initiatives. Working conditions involve various community settings with home visits in Essex County; ability to drive a car and use standard office equipment. Total compensation range is USD $65,000.00 to USD $110,000.00, with consideration of experience and market conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Health Policy, Political Science or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in policy development, advocacy, or health-related initiatives
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and policymakers
- Willingness to conduct home visits and travel within Essex County
- Ability to drive a car and use standard office equipment
