Job Summary
Oversee the overall operation of the residential house, scheduling and supervising all support staff to provide 24/7 coverage while managing fiduciary oversight and med distribution. Ensure all consumers' health care, dietary, and medication administration needs are met, and maintain accurate ISP plans and monthly documentation in accordance with P2P and DDS guidelines. Direct case managers to monitor medical and dental appointments, coordinate with HMOs regarding house grounds and equipment, and hold monthly staff meetings with annual evaluations. Provide regular documented supervision to direct service staff, maintain financial accounts within budgetary guidelines, and communicate safety programs to ensure consistent implementation. Participate in agency-wide events, training programs, and management team meetings, while providing up to 10 weeks of on-call coverage per year. Maintain relationships with families, guardians, and providers to support lifelong connections and independent living skill development for residents with developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- Clearance of CORI and SORI background checks as required by state and federal law
- Clearance of DPPC registry as required by state law
- A cleared search of finger printing through the DDS criminal background check
- Current MAP certification and maintain MAP certification for the duration of employment
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to provide physical assistance to adults using wheelchairs
- Must be able to evacuate individuals supported within 2 1⁄2 minutes
- Must be able to assist individuals in transferring from sitting to standing
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field is preferred
- A graduate degree and/or 5 years program management experience is preferred
- A commitment to the empowerment of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with the DDS delivery system
- First AID and CPR Certified
- Experience with individuals who have complicated medical needs is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to be used across the P2P Community
- Comfortable working in an environment with a therapeutic cat
