Program Manager, Parent & Community Engagement

Job Summary
Develop and implement recruiting strategies to enroll parents into coaching programs via strategic partnerships, ensuring monthly and annual enrollment targets are met. Serve as the primary point of contact for community partners managing resource distribution events and coordinate member engagement programming, including workshops, peer groups, and family celebrations to improve social capital. Manage all member voice initiatives by facilitating focus groups and coordinating speakers for donor site visits while tracking attendance data in Horizon. Lead local policy and advocacy efforts by building relationships, conducting legislative research, and supporting the development of regional tactics and trainings. Draft and disseminate the monthly member newsletter and oversee content updates on resource pages.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in a direct service role with low-income communities
- Experience working with families
- High-energy advocate who is dedicated to find the right solution to a problem
- Amazing relationship builder; listening and then delivering on that knowledge
- Clear, compelling, and energizing communicator
- Comfortable setting an agenda and facilitating group dialogue
- Detail-oriented and comfortable using data systems to track performance, learn and improve
- Valid driver's license
- Access to a car
- Proficient in Spanish
- Lives in or has work experience in the city of Chicago

Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with families is a plus
- Knows a lot about social services and education systems, and is passionate about learning of the latest opportunities
- Bonus points for deep local knowledge of the community, education systems, and social services
- Lives in or has work experience in the city of Chicago (preferred)
- Has access to a car and valid driver's license (preferred)
- Is proficient in Spanish (preferred)
