Job Summary
Coordinate all alumni events and programs, including homecoming, reunions, and donor recognition activities, by researching venues, arranging catering, and managing logistics. Manage the University's Mascot Program, oversee volunteer training for the student alumni association and regional chapters, and handle daily correspondence via email, phone, and social media channels. Maintain the 30,000+ alumni database in Raisers Edge, conduct data cleansing, and process bulk mailing projects. Supervise work study students, manage procurement cards, and complete post-event paperwork and follow-up communications. Requires weekend commitments, state travel, and on-call availability to represent the office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 4-6 years relevant experience in alumni relations, event planning, or fundraising
- Proven experience in planning, managing, and executing events and engagement initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with a wide-range of internal and external constituencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be available for weekend commitments
- Must be able to travel in and out of state
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated strong connection to Adams State University, such as being an ASU graduate, having professional experience with the university, robust institutional knowledge, or having a history of meaningful engagement with the ASU community
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
- Experience working with a board of directors or council
- Proofreading skills or publication experience
