Job Summary
Program Manager for mining initiatives coordinating end-to-end planning and execution across exploration, permitting, and operations readiness in Central America. Oversees scope, objectives, milestones, budgets, and resource plans; leads cross-functional teams (geology, engineering, environmental, legal, finance, community relations) and external consultants; manages relationships with government authorities and regulators to advance permits and policy engagement; drives community and ESG-aligned stakeholder engagement; monitors risks, dependencies, governance, and KPIs; oversees budgets, capital expenditure, and vendor/contract management; ensures compliance with regulations, mining standards, and HSE requirements; requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 6+ years in mining, and preferred program management certifications; fluency in Spanish and English; remote work from global locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Postgraduate qualification in Project/Program Management, Business, or related field preferred
- 6+ years of experience in the mining industry
- 3-5 years managing complex programs or multi-project portfolios
- Program/project management certification (PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural communication skills
- Proficiency in program management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and reporting platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication in Spanish and English
