Job Summary
Lead customer leadership for groups of Project Managers and maintain solid financial targets, rapport, and relationships with TVA. Accountable for the P&L of client project work, including contract negotiations, process creation, and ensuring successful execution of all project deliverables. Provide guidance, direction, and coaching to Project Managers while managing a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technicians. This hybrid role is based out of the Chattanooga, TN or Knoxville, TN office. Requires PMP certification, a PE license preferred, and 12+ years of power industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- PMP certification
- 12+ years of experience working in the power industry
Desired Qualifications
- PE license
- 4-year ABET-accredited engineering degree
- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve difficult technical and management problems related to complex engineering projects
- Possess aptitude for engineering and design, as well as proposal preparation, estimating, accounting, and scheduling
- Strong organizational and process workflow management skills
- Adept at modifying and adapting processes and workflows to accomplish team goals efficiently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment – both internally and externally
- Strong working knowledge of computers and software such as AutoCAD, Vault, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Knowledge of corporate accounting practices and business operations
- Willingness to develop, promote and comply with Mesa safety requirements
- Reactive to Director/VP work instructions and proactive/reactive to client requests
- 8+ years of experience managing projects and/or customer accounts
- 6+ years of TVA substation design experience
