Job Summary
Lead planning and execution of new product introduction and sustaining product programs through the Acumed Product Life Cycle. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables while prioritizing initiatives and providing regular status updates to executive leadership. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing and successful product launches, monitor financial performance and key metrics, and lead executive project review meetings. Improve project management processes, tools, and best practices within the PMO, support development of standard operating procedures, and provide functional leadership to Project Managers. This role drives continuous improvement and operational excellence across the project management function.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 6-8 years of project management experience in new product development and/or manufacturing
- at least 3 years in medical devices or a related industry
- PMP certification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project (or similar project management software) and SAP
Desired Qualifications
- Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related technical degree
- MBA
- experience leading new product development programs within the medical device industry
- a strong understanding of Design Controls and regulated product development processes
- Orthopedic medical device product development and commercialization experience
- Demonstrated experience leading project or program managers and cross-functional teams
- Experience managing project budgets, development costs, and executive reporting
- Knowledge of finance, product commercialization, and product launch processes
- Strong business acumen, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction while driving projects to successful completion
