Job Summary
Program Manager (House Manager) to oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential home in Newton, MA, supervising house staff, coordinating behavior program planning and medications, coordinating all individual services, supervising care staff, managing program finances, and maintaining the physical site; serves as liaison with families, neighbors, employers and government agencies. Provides direct care to residents focusing on daily living skills and case management, with a vision to refine and improve programming and create a warm, welcoming home where participants reach their fullest potential. Responsibilities include budgeting and financial monitoring, medical record-keeping, MAP/aide training, staff supervision, licensing/compliance, safety, recreation, ISPs development, data collection, and on-call coverage; requires MAP certification, CORI clearance, and Massachusetts-specific requirements, with a 9am–5pm schedule and planned additional hours for on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years direct care experience at a human services agency, including some experience with developmental or intellectual disabilities
- At least one year of management experience
- Medication Administration Certification (MAP) in Massachusetts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a CLEAN driving record
- CORI background check requirement (Massachusetts)
- Ability to lift, transfer, and support the body weight of individuals with assistance
- High School Diploma (required)
- Flexibility for early morning and later evening availability; weekends as needed
- Regular hours from 9am–5pm, Monday through Friday
