Job Summary
Program Manager in Lear’s Electronics Program Management team responsible for leading cross-functional teams to design, develop, and execute platform launches and changes, driving opportunities and innovation for key customers, and managing program budgets and timelines. Responsibilities include executing programs per Lear PM processes, leading stakeholder calls with customers and internal teams (Sales, Purchasing, Unit Engineering, Plant Product Engineering, Plant Quality, Warranty), creating comprehensive multi-scenario timing plans, allocating resources, tracking actions and roadblocks, and driving accountability to the APQP process. Will lead key customer liaisons, manage program finances to meet hurdle rates, and travel domestically with occasional international travel. Reports to the Program Management Director or OEM Platform Manager Lead; bonus experience in automotive electronics and OEM engagement is noted.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive experience
- Firm grasp of APQP principles
- Working knowledge of program and operational finance
- Proven record of managing within cross-functional teams and matrix-style organizations
- Ability to travel domestically, with occasional international
