Job Summary
Oversee defense contract programs as the primary liaison between KTS and program office government contracting officers; lead end-to-end program execution by establishing foundational processes, schedules, and performance metrics, and manage cost/schedule performance including CDRL to ensure alignment with contractual, financial, and operational commitments. Ensure compliance with FARs/DFARS/ITAR and interface with government Contracting Officers/Representatives to maintain relationships and provide updates on technical, schedule, and performance expectations. Demonstrate credibility with customers through technical and/or military experience, briefs to senior military and corporate leadership, and leads multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality assurance to achieve program objectives. Identify and mitigate risks and communicate proactively to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a STEM-related field with 5+ years of experience
- Ability to obtain Security Clearance and US citizenship
- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams (systems, mechanical, electrical, software)
- Experience with DoD acquisition processes and regulatory frameworks (FAR/DFAR/ITAR)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to travel
- Proven track record in managing cost and schedule for complex technical programs
