Job Summary
Support the New Product Development team by driving program execution, managing commercial oversight, and expediting production activities. Assist with customer review materials, resolve logistics issues, and identify process improvement opportunities through data-driven analysis. Lead at least one primary project during the internship term, presenting results in team reviews. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations groups to complete assigned tasks. Work 12–29 hours per week in a flexible Monday–Friday schedule, reporting to the Head of Commercial Strategy. This preparatory role offers a direct path to full-time Program Management within Senior Aerospace SSP.
Required Qualifications
- Student working toward, or recently graduated with, a BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to face unfamiliar problems by application of first principles of engineering and physics
- Leadership and technical competence, backed by examples of actual execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex projects into actionable and measurable tasks
- Excellent organizational skills
- Motivated self-driver
- Ability to get along with and function in a team with a variety of personalities, backgrounds, skill sets and skill levels
- Honest and ethical
- Must work physically on site
- Must work 12-29 hours per week
- Must be able to provide information to determine eligibility under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
- Must be able to complete and return a Licensing Assessment form if required
