Program Manager, Industry Impact & Development

Job Summary
Lead on-site safety consultations and initiatives to strengthen client health and safety programs while reducing workplace illness and injury. Coordinate regional workshops, represent the organization at industry events, and analyze WCB claims data to identify trends and prioritize support. Conduct assessments to improve management systems and serve as a technical advisor to committees on emerging safety initiatives and recognition programs. Champion a strong safety culture by promoting best practices and providing informed guidance on legislation and regulations. Perform other related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline
- A recognized safety designation (CRSP) or Occupational Health & Safety certification, or currently working toward one
- Five or more years of project or program management experience
- Strong knowledge of industry health and safety legislation, regulations, and return-to-work programs
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret safety statistics and communicate findings clearly
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and consensus-building abilities
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Confidence presenting to groups and leading workshops
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of audit protocols and auditing techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Safety Auditor certification is considered a strong asset
- Experience working within the oil and gas industry or a related industrial environment is considered an asset
