Job Summary
Manage complex aircraft seat programs from sales handover to closure, ensuring cost, quality, and schedule targets are met while mentoring less experienced managers. Lead program teams through full certification testing, complex IFE installations, and high-level customer engagements, defining scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Coordinate budget changes, master proposals, and service bulletins while negotiating due dates with OEMs and customers. Maintain program documentation, audit files, and milestone meeting minutes, driving project dependencies and critical path management. Report progress to the review board, conduct post-mortems, and provide training on program management processes. Travel up to 25% nationally and internationally.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Program Management role
- Strong, proven customer relations skills
- High level understanding of engineering concepts
- FAA certification procedures for commercial aircraft seats
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to positively influence customer decisions
- Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
- Proven track record of meeting commitments
- Strong problem solving skills
