Job Summary
Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver complex programs and projects from initiation through successful delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Manage all aspects of program execution, including maintaining program control and delivering results within established scope, schedule, and budget constraints. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to facilitate decision-making and proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks. This role operates within a dynamic, matrix environment at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a global leader in life sciences with annual revenue exceeding $40 billion. The position supports the mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer through solutions for environmental protection, food safety, and medical cures. Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, with 10-15% travel required based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Degree
- 2+ years of program/project management experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry
- Strong knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and regulatory requirements in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
- Excellent financial acumen including budget management, forecasting, and revenue tracking
- Advanced proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to work effectively at all organizational levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with data-driven decision-making
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Adaptable approach to changing priorities and deadlines
- English language proficiency
- 10-15% travel
- Experience with continuous improvement and process optimization methodologies
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Business Administration, or related field
- PMP certification or equivalent project management certification
