Job Summary
Establish and lead high-visibility enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives, acting as the single accountable party for defining, planning, and delivering complex objectives from initiation through success. Manage multiple cross-functional teams to launch new products, services, and infrastructure upgrades while rigorously controlling scope to meet time, cost, and quality parameters. Develop communication plans, project charters, and integrated delivery plans, then chair regular meetings to track milestones and report status to stakeholders. Lead change management efforts by implementing control mechanisms to sustain improvements and navigating a matrixed organization to resolve conflict and enable team objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in program management
- Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, or PMP Certification
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the research environment and healthcare processes
- Experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives with large change impact
- Complex program and project management skills
- Advanced analytic capabilities including six sigma methods and tools
- Ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, to lead and inspire teams, to set direction and approach, to resolve conflict and deliver tough messages with grace
- Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively
- Exhibits influencing and negotiating skills
- Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to meet their objectives
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong business acumen, with proven ability to learn quickly in new business areas and different project types
- Comfortable raising questions, issues, objections and ideas at all levels of the organization
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
