Job Summary
Define and communicate the vision and strategy for the Idea to Implementation product, maintaining the roadmap while balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical considerations. Drive product delivery through vendor management and partner engagement, ensuring alignment with SDLC and TSP processes. Lead stakeholder engagement with senior leaders and delivery teams to communicate tradeoffs and progress, while defining standards and enforcing ways of working to improve consistency. Manage assigned staff to deliver support, monitor engagement performance, and resolve blockers to enable continued program success. Uphold M&T Bank's risk and regulatory standards by designing internal controls and addressing audit points.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 8 years' proven project management experience
- Combined minimum of 12 years' higher education and/or work experience (in lieu of a degree)
- Minimum of 8 years' proven project management experience (in lieu of a degree)
- Computer and software proficiency
- Strong knowledge of product management methodology
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to negotiate, influence and gain consensus
- Regularly communicates verbally and in writing with executive management on status of initiatives
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work individually as well as a member of a team
- Self-motivated, results-driven and well-organized individual
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under time constraints
- Ability to function professionally at many different levels (clients, leadership, and peers)
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary for business partner relationships within and outside the organization
- Ability to build mutual trust and encourage respect
- Open to diverse points of view
- Onsite presence four days per week

- Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
- Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk
- Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand
- Maintain M&T internal control standards
- Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations
