Program Manager for Research Integrity

Job Summary

Lead research integrity education programming by designing curriculum, managing logistics, and developing communication strategies to foster a culture of research integrity across the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Support research misconduct policy implementation, case processes, and administrative procedures, including assistance with case management, sequestrations, and forensic analysis. Develop standard operating procedures aligned with federal regulations, create online materials, and maintain a website repository of resources. Manage budgets, track program metrics, and ensure compliance with University policies and applicable federal rules. Interface extensively with faculty committees, the Office of Research Administration, and other stakeholders to resolve authorship disputes and implement guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • Experience within an academic research setting
  • Direct experience with federal regulations and research policies
  • Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills
  • Capacity to build strong professional relationships
  • Ability to create lucid summaries of complex procedural and scientific information in a very high-stakes context
  • Experience or coursework in curriculum development, adult education, or related field
  • Ability to prepare project documentation and manage a project through lifecycle stages from project initiation through project closure with strong attention to detail
  • Experience working independently at a high level
  • Capacity to think strategically, establish goals, set priorities, and implement projects with limited direction
  • Ability to collaborate across academic and administrative groups
  • Capacity to build consultative partnerships with individuals tied to research integrity efforts and compliance
  • Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive materials
  • Ability to work in a hybrid role with on-campus work in offices and lecture halls
  • Ability to transport training materials to various campus locations
  • Ability to work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University's Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts
