Job Summary
Program Manager, Food is Medicine leads strategy, development, and execution of the food bank's food is medicine programming (CalAIM) in San Francisco and Marin. Responsible for overseeing all program workstreams (outreach, authorization, reimbursement) while ensuring HIPAA compliance and adherence to state/local laws. Acts as a leadership role to broaden partnerships, contribute earned revenue, and position the organization as a business partner to managed care plans and healthcare partners. Key duties include strategic visioning, budgeting for grants and program funding, workflow implementation for eligibility and billing, risk management and data oversight, partnership development, external representation, and cross-functional collaboration to support program growth. Requires strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor teams, manage stakeholders, develop trainings, and work in a hybrid environment. The position is fixed-term, full-time (contract) for two years, with starting salary between $102,375.04 and $105,541.21 depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in public health, healthcare, public administration, public policy, or a healthcare-related area of expertise
