Job Summary
The Program Manager leads a team to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Key responsibilities include leading and training teams, managing staff schedules, providing direct training on daily care routines, and ensuring compliance with Individual Support Plans (ISP) and Person-Centered Plans (PCP). The role requires effective communication with staff and families, monitoring finances, and maintaining the health and safety of individuals. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for a bachelor's degree, alongside relevant experience in disability support.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Complete all state and agency required training
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Team oriented with demonstrated leadership experience
- Ability to establish supportive relationships with individuals receiving supports
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards
- Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
Additional Requirements
- Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation
