Job Summary
Provide supervision and oversight to direct reports regarding daily care, instruction, and safety for individuals with autism, intellectual, and developmental disabilities. Manage overall operations, activities, and staff for the Adult Residential Program site, ensuring compliance with state regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies. Conduct regular staff meetings, manage job performance, and develop training plans while maintaining accurate documentation, financial records, and Individual Program Plans. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, family members, and healthcare consultants to resolve complex situations and advocate for persons served. Participate in hiring processes, special projects, and performance improvement initiatives to ensure an efficient, cost-effective, and safe environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited college with a BA in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, Social Work, Recreation, Art, Dance, Music, Physical Education, Nutrition, Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Psychology
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or brain injuries
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two-three years in the Human Services or related field
- Prior management experience
- Strong desire to work with neurologically-challenged individuals
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- BA in a related field plus one year of related experience preferred
