Job Summary
Manage overall operations, activities, and staff for assigned program sites within direct areas of responsibility. Provide supervision to direct reports, oversee daily environments across all shifts, and actively participate in hiring and termination processes including interviews and screening. Resolve sensitive situations while encouraging independence, and complete daily, monthly, and quarterly paperwork such as risk management reports, OMS reports, and inspection checklists to ensure regulatory compliance. Review documentation for accuracy, maintain medical and behavioral records for audits, and develop treatment plans including IPP, IDT, and TDT processes. Evaluate prospective persons served, review consultant recommendations, and implement care plans. Participate in special projects related to behavioral treatment and performance improvement systems to ensure efficient operations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited college with a BA in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, Social Work, Recreation, Art, Dance, Music, Physical Education, Nutrition, Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Psychology
- At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or brain injuries
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two-three years in the Human Services or related field
- Prior management experience
- Strong desire to work with neurologically-challenged individuals
- Certification from the American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists (AACBIS) within the first 18 months of employment
- Maintenance of ongoing annual certification requirements
