Job Summary
Program Manager role based in our Arlington, VA office (full-time, in person) supporting DoD research programs. Responsible for contracting and budgetary oversight, ensuring funded work aligns with contract scope, submitting timely contractual deliverables, coordinating across technical, IT, security, finance, and executive teams, planning staff allocations, and managing multiple programs with classified and unclassified proposals. Requires active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Qualifications include a BS/BA, DoD program-management experience, proven track record delivering on deadlines and contract deliverables, proposal-management experience, and travel capability. Strong preference for PMI-PMP and an MA/MS in engineering, management, or related field, with 5-8 years of experience working with Air Force and Navy customers.
Required Qualifications
- BS or BA
- Experience as a program manager on DoD contracts (classified and unclassified)
- Ability to comprehend and digest highly technical subject matter
- Experience with proposals and proposal management
- Familiarity with cost/schedule analysis and risk mitigation
- Demonstrable track record of meeting deadlines and delivering contract deliverables
- Experience coordinating across technical, security, finance, and management teams
- Experience with staff planning, labor hours tracking, and project finance/budget tracking
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Ability to travel
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience working with PIs and customers to prioritize development and demonstration of key technologies
- PMP certification (preferred)
- MA or MS in engineering, management, or relevant field (preferred)
- 5-8 years of experience with Air Force and Navy customers
- Experience with contract vehicles (CPFF, FFP, T&M) (preferred)
