Job Summary
Manage research and development, procurement, and operations and maintenance contracts for Air Force Weather Expeditionary Weather systems. Provide independent analysis to support life cycle planning, execute program IPT efforts, and track contract compliance while analyzing policy guidance from USD AT&L. Prepare RFP packages, milestone documentation, and monthly metrics demonstrating cost, schedule, and performance. Facilitate risk analysis, validate technical proposals, and brief senior decision-makers on findings. This remote role includes 20% CONUS travel and requires a US citizen with a Secret clearance and 20 years of experience supporting the DoD.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen
- Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance
- High School Diploma
- 20 years of relevant experience
- 8 years supporting the DoD
- Strong knowledge and experience applying DoD and AF acquisition processes, policies, procedures, and statutory/regulatory requirements
- Experience managing critical aspects of acquisition programs across the Acquisition Framework
- Strong understanding of Air Force Weather organizational structure, mission, and relationships
- Experience communicating oral and written thoughts to senior leaders and business partners
- 20% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years supporting the DoD
- Master's degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years supporting the DoD
