Job Summary
Plan and execute AI and developer events, including local meetups, hands-on learning sessions, and sponsored programs. Manage technical programming for Datadog-hosted and sponsored events, while supporting content at global conferences like DASH. Track deadlines for digital and physical assets, coordinate with vendors and procurement teams, and resolve risks to ensure event success. Own onsite speaker experiences, manage rehearsals and staffing, and maintain internal tools for agenda and speaker content. Collaborate with Community teams, external stakeholders, and the VP of Community to create processes that drive continual improvements and automation. Communicate goals, status, and risks to maintain alignment across teams.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in program management
- Experience leading similar initiatives such as large scale conferences and related programs
- Experience within a similar technical environment (B2B SaaS company)
- Experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Experience building and fostering effective working relationships
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Enjoy building processes
- Data-driven approach to program management
- Experience building tools (workflows, custom work intake processes, estimation models)
- Experience collecting and analyzing data
- Experience driving stakeholder buy-in
- Experience influencing without direct authority at senior levels internal and external to the organization
- Able to travel via train or air, domestically and internationally, up to 20% of the time
