Job Summary
Program Manager (AI) on-site in Dayton, Ohio accountable for delivering assigned program on time and within budget across Capture, Proposal, and Contract phases. Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers; understand customer environment, pain points, and desired end state; allocate resources, manage subcontractors, and conduct risk management to meet technical and financial objectives. Engage in face-to-face interactions with Dayton-area customers and stakeholders, support capture and new business opportunities, and operate within secure spaces following policies. Requires a BS in a related discipline (or equivalent experience), 10+ years of program management in defense, experience with proposals and PM tools, and ability to obtain DoW clearance. Prefer advanced degree, AI familiarity, MBSE, PMP, and experience with classified programs; travel to support events and customer surveys; onsite 3-5 days/week with security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- BS in business, mathematics, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- At least ten (10) years of program management related experience, preferably in defense industry
- Extensive experience managing a program/project team to execute a government contract or development efforts
- Experience writing and managing proposals
- Expertise with typical project management (planning and control) systems and tools such as: Contract and Subcontract Management, Systems Engineering Process, Integrated Master Plan, Integrated Master Schedule, Work Breakdown Structure, Earned Value Management System, Agile Project Management, Integrated Baseline Review, Periodic Program Reviews, Major Milestone Reviews, Capture and Proposal Plans, Internal Budget Development and Business Case Development
- Proven ability to guide a software product development process
- Expertise using MS Office toolset
- Possess strong communication (both oral and written), organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and time management skills
- Ability to travel to support technical presentations, testing, and customer interactions
- Ability to obtain and maintain Department of War (DoW) Security
