Job Summary
Manage and direct daily execution of contract requirements to assure cost, schedule, and performance goals are met. Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of programs to ensure high-quality deliverables aligning with organizational objectives. Actively seek new business opportunities in coordination with Business Development and lead or support integrated product and project team meetings from kick-off through close. Provide interface and coordination with internal and external customers, participate in bid and proposal activities, and prepare documentation for existing customers. Develop and implement plans and schedules to execute contracts, allocate budgets for labor and materials, and regularly report program status to senior management. Formally identify, assess, and mitigate risks throughout the program life cycle while obtaining management approval for decisions affecting established objectives. Collaborate with project teams to execute changes, resolve schedule and budget problems with senior management assistance, and perform variance analysis using earned value management systems. Ensure timely closeout of completed programs and represent management at program reviews and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of program management work experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, supply chain or business degree
- Experience throughout the program lifecycle or components of development through sustainment to include: proposal development, requirements decomposition, generation of system and subsystem statements of work and subcontracts, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts including implementation cost reduction and performance improvement efforts
- Experience with managing manpower planning, project reviews, scheduling and budget control
- Experience with earned value cost accounting and reporting; experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program progress, productivity and variance analysis
- Knowledge of program management tools and procedures
- Solid leadership and management skills
- Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and supply chain management
- Strong customer interface skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage aerospace/defense programs as a prime or subcontractor to a domestic or foreign military organization
- Program Management certification (i.e. PMP or DAU)
- Knowledge of DoD FAR procurement regulations
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP with a solid understanding of electro-mechanical assembly operations, bills of material, demand material planning, and the supply chain purchasing process
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, supply chain or business degree highly preferred
- Program Management certification preferred (i.e. PMP or DAU)
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP with a solid understanding of electro-mechanical assembly operations, bills of material, demand material planning, and the supply chain purchasing process preferred
