Job Summary
Program Manager responsible for ensuring the assigned program is completed on time, within budget and meets or exceeds internal and external requirements. Manages projects and resources, directs subcontractors, performs risk management, and maintains strong customer relationships. Engages in capture and proposal activities, coordinates with business development and digital infrastructure teams, and ensures compliance with security policies while working with Dayton-area customers and stakeholders. Requires active U.S. national security clearance and the ability to travel for customer interactions and field activities. This onsite Dayton, OH role emphasizes leadership, rigorous program control, and cross-functional collaboration across defense-focused programs and contracts.
Required Qualifications
- BS in business, mathematics, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- At least ten (10) years of program management related experience, preferably in defense industry
- Experience writing and managing proposals
- Extensive experience managing a program/project team to execute a government contract or development efforts
- Experience with typical project management (planning and control) systems and tools such as: Contract and Subcontract Management, Systems Engineering Process, Integrated Master Plan, Integrated Master Schedule, Work Breakdown Structure, Earned Value Management System, Agile Project Management, Integrated Baseline Review, Periodic Program Reviews, Major Milestone Reviews, Capture and Proposal Plans, Internal Budget Development and Business Case Development
- Proven ability to guide a software product development process
- Experience using MS Office toolset
- Strong communication (oral and written), organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, and time management skills
- Ability to travel to support technical presentations, testing, and customer interactions
- Ability to obtain and maintain Department of War (DoW) Security
