Job Summary
Program Manager 2 at Emerson responsible for building long-term customer partnerships and delivering end-to-end control-system projects. Manages planning from initiation to closure, defines scope, timelines, milestones and deliverables, coordinates with internal teams and vendors, oversees budgets and resources, identifies risks with mitigation plans, tracks progress using PM tools, and ensures timely status reporting and change documentation while adhering to standards and compliance. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 15+ years of experience in managing medium to large-scale control system projects; preferred PMP and MBA certifications with experience in distributed control systems (DCS), PLC, and ESD, and exposure to cross-functional or global teams. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline)
- 15+ years of experience managing medium to large-scale control system projects
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, control systems, and project execution methodologies
- Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office applications
- Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, cost, and risk & stakeholder management
- Strong customer-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
