Job Summary
Drive the electrical integration of sensors and optics into satellite payloads, designing cable and wire harness interconnects for vehicles. Generate system cable interconnect diagrams, wiring schematics, routing details, and bill of materials while developing test fixtures and procedures to verify functional operation. Analyze routine engineering problems, resolve issues with a hands-on approach, and collaborate with program management to meet production goals. Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators and improve manufacturing operations. Work in a safe manner within new product introduction and production environments, adhering to AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science discipline
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or systems engineering
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
- Ability to obtain a secret or top-secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- Eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with Lean and 6 Sigma tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, Kaizen, process control, etc.
- Six Sigma Lean Green Belt or higher certification
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task, support multiple programs simultaneously
- Experience with DFM and DFA
- Experience with Optical systems and technology
- Experience with NPI
- Proven track record of solving complex engineering problems and implementing innovative solutions in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
