Job Summary
Direct the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for converting existing Automatic Train Control Systems to modern Communication Based Train Control (CBTC). Plan, organize, and evaluate team deliverables while managing subconsultants across design, installation, quality control, testing, and commissioning phases. Oversee cost estimates, project schedules, and budgets; conduct field inspections and monitor work in progress to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Serve as the project liaison with client divisions and outside agencies, leading resolution of project issues and recommending changes to delivery plans. Track performance against milestones and KPIs, champion resource and risk management, and prepare request for proposals. Requires a BA/BS in engineering or project management with 12 years of experience, including 4 years in leadership. Full-time role in the USA with sponsorship and relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in architecture, engineering, project management, or related field
- 12 years of related experience
- 4 years of leadership
- 15 years of professional experience
- 10 years in a program management leadership role
- Proven senior leadership experience
- Recognized as an experienced leader in program management nationally
- Solid track record and experience in applying innovative program management practices with successful programs
- Expertise and experience in applicable technical areas of program management
- Good understanding of program management competencies
- Experience in expanding professional network within the industry
- Experience and track record of successfully leading multiple medium to large programs
- Experience contributing significantly to the field of Program Management through thought leadership, publications, conference presentations, and involvement in professional associations
- PMI-PgMP, APM-RPP, or CMAA-CCM Certification (or equivalent)
- Professional Engineering License (for roles in USA)
- Chartered status or equivalent
- All newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
