Job Summary
Director-level program management lead for CBTC upgrades in transit systems at AECOM. Lead multidisciplinary teams across design, installation, testing, commissioning, safety and security certification, staffing and budget management to deliver large-scale CBTC modernization programs. Responsibilities include developing goals and objectives, directing team deliverables, managing subconsultants, preparing designs and cost estimates, ensuring contract compliance, supporting scope-of-work development and proposal processes, negotiating contracts, monitoring schedules and budgets, serving as the project liaison with clients and external agencies, conducting field inspections, tracking performance against KPIs, and initiating changes to improve delivery. Requires a BA/BS in a related field with 12+ years of experience (including 4 years in leadership), plus preferred certifications (PMI-PgMP/APM-RPP/CMAA-CCM), and potential Professional Engineer licensing or Chartered status. Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in architecture, engineering, project management, or related field and 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
- PMI-PgMP, APM-RPP, or CMAA-CCM Certification (or equivalent)
- Professional Engineering License (for roles in USA), Chartered status or equivalent may be required for certain roles
- 15 years of professional experience with 10 years in a program management leadership role
- Proven senior leadership experience with a track record of driving strong performance, organizational success, and achieving objectives in large organizations
- Recognized as an experienced leader in program management nationally, with a solid track record and experience in applying innovative program management practices with successful programs
- Possess expertise and experience in applicable technical areas of program management and a good understanding of program management competencies
- Experience contributing significantly to the field of Program Management through thought leadership, publications, conference presentations, and involvement in professional associations
