Job Summary
Plan and implement recreational, social, and/or educational activities for a specified program. Work in a team with the Activity Leaders to deliver the program and encourage participation. Oversee day-to-day operations, ensure facilities and equipment are in place, ensure policies and licensing requirements are met, and make recommendations for program development and evaluation. Promote the program through promotional materials and community events. Liaise with community service providers to coordinate service provision and referrals, and maintain related records and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma, certificate and/or relevant experience working with children/youth in recreation, education or social services
- Completion of a course or a combination of courses of at least 20 hours duration which include child development, guidance, health and safety or nutrition (licensed programs)
- One (1) year recent related experience
- Class 5 Driver’s License and willingness to obtain Class 4 as soon as possible
- First Aid Certificate and Food Safe or willingness to obtain
- Successful completion of Agency screening including a Criminal Record Check
- Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm
- Rate of Pay: $21.02 per hour
