Job Summary
Develop, implement, and participate in quality recreational, social, and educational programming for school-age children. Orient new families to the program and club, while providing direct supervision to ensure health, safety, and wellness. Mentor and lead Activity Leaders, building relationships with children, youth, and families through open communication with parents. Prepare nutritious snacks and meals, and use Club vans to transport members from school to various sites. Provide behavior management support and ensure compliance with Agency Policies, Program Operating Standards, and WCB regulations. Work 35 hours weekly Monday through Friday at the Rutland Club in Kelowna, BC.
Required Qualifications
- Education in childcare and/or experience planning, implementing and evaluating childcare programs
- One (1) year recent related experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Food Safe certification or willingness to obtain
- Class 5 Driver's Licence
- willingness to obtain Class 4
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Successful completion of Agency screening including a Criminal Record Check
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada
