Job Summary
Develop, implement, and participate in quality and diverse recreational, social, and educational programming for young children. Orient new families to the program and club, while providing direct supervision to ensure member health, safety, and wellness. Mentor Activity Leaders, build relationships with children, youth, and families, and establish open communication with parents. Use Club vans to transport members from school to various sites and prepare nutritious snacks and meals. Provide group and individual behaviour management and support while ensuring compliance with Agency Policies, Program Operating Standards, WCB standards, and Community Care Licensing Regulations. Schedule includes Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 35 hours in summer. Rate of pay is $21.02 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Education in childcare and/or experience planning, implementing and evaluating childcare programs
- One (1) year recent related experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Food Safe
- Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Class 4
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Successful completion of Agency screening including a Criminal Record Check
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada
