Job Summary
Program Instructor at Camp Erdman (Waialua, HI) seasonal August–December 2026. Lead a variety of safe and fun activities for students, families, and guests; mentor campers and guests; live on-site in provided housing; work a Tue–Sat schedule with weekends rotating; responsible for camper development, inclusivity, health and safety, and upholding YMCA philosophy and goals. Requires experience with children, ability to foster positive relationships, and completion of mandatory trainings and background checks. Positions include on-site housing and are part of YMCA camp programs and rentals operating 7 days a week.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- TB test required
- Must complete YMCA Camp Erdman High Ropes Facilitator Training
- Must complete YMCA Lifeguard Training
- College experience preferred
- Lifeguard Certification preferred
- Ropes facilitation experience preferred
- Child Protection Commitment
- Background screening including criminal and sex offender checks
