Job Summary
Program Guide positions supervise and ensure safety and well-being of residents, implement the program curriculum and therapeutic weekly treatment plans, and facilitate group activities. The role involves learning the curriculum, communicating effectively with residents, maintaining professional boundaries and client confidentiality, participating in ongoing professional development, and potentially covering medication passes after training. Roles may include Apprentice Guide, Journey Guide, or Lead Guide, with movement between roles based on seniority and operational needs. The position requires physical endurance for long shifts, the ability to collaborate with clinicians and program management, and requires CPR/First Aid and NVCI certifications plus background checks and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree specifically in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Outdoor Education/Leadership or a minimum of two years relevant experience
- Must provide and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification (in-person training)
- Maintain a current NVCI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification provided by Pacific Quest
- Prehire and ongoing background and fingerprint checks; drug screen clearance
- Maintain current physical and TB clearance
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
