Job Summary
Program Evaluation Specialist responsible for designing evaluation approaches, conducting quantitative and qualitative assessments of program effectiveness, comparing Exchange Visitor Program performance with domestic/international peers, and producing reports with actionable recommendations. The role emphasizes developing and refining evaluation models, collaborating with cross-functional teams, communicating findings through reports and presentations, and maintaining client relationships. Ideal candidate has a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in a related field, at least 5 years of experience in program evaluation, proficiency with SPSS/STATA/R, and experience with federal agencies; preference for program evaluation certification and advanced degrees in economics or social sciences. Location is Washington, DC with hybrid work arrangement; travel 0-10% as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (social sciences, public policy, etc)
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in program evaluation
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R) and qualitative data analysis tools
- Experience working with federal agencies (Department of State preferred)
- Program evaluation certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of policies and regulations governing program evaluations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail
