Job Summary
Program Engineer responsible for the day-to-day management of the APU program at Hill AFB, acting as the technical liaison between Turbine Aero, Boeing, and the U.S. Air Force, and overseeing inspection, assembly, and testing of aircraft auxiliary power units (APUs). Lead quality, cost, schedule, and technical performance for C-17 APUs; participate in contract strategy and ensuring compliance with FAR terms; coordinate with cross-functional teams, develop program plans, review contract terms, manage risk, and deliver program performance updates to stakeholders. Travel up to ~25% to Chandler, AZ for collaboration with Turbine Aero. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5-10 years of aerospace/APU experience; familiarity with ITAR/EAR requirements and DOD contracting; strong leadership in program management and negotiation to support contract execution and customer relations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 5-10 years of relevant experience with aircraft auxiliary power units (specifically Honeywell GTCP331-200/250)
- Proven experience as a project leader or integrated program team leader
- Knowledge of DOD contracts and FAR regulations
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as required by business needs
- Eligibility to work under ITAR/EAR regulations and program requirements

- Export control compliance required: must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15
