Job Summary
Guide surgical tech students and associates toward improved patient outcomes by supporting programmatic accreditation, licensure compliance, and graduate placement expectations. Lead curriculum development and coordinate blended instructional approaches, including face-to-face and online delivery, while selecting faculty and external facilities. Provide professional leadership and mentorship to teaching staff to foster a responsive, self-responsible learning environment. This role requires a Registered Respiratory Therapist with four years of clinical experience, two years teaching in an accredited program, and knowledge of ABHES, CoARC, and Title IV standards. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program
- Knowledge of state, federal and local laws/regulations relating to programs, governmental compliance and other regulatory standards such as Title IV, ABHES, CoARC, BPPE, and other accreditation standards
- One (1) year of teaching experience in the subject areas taught
- demonstrate prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills from a formal teacher educational program or any comparable training program or formal in-house training program
- Hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE)
- Must be a graduate from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the specialty field or the subject area in which they teach
- Associate degree in the specialty field
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential
- current state license
- Current CPR Card
