Job Summary
Program Director for the Physician Assistant (PA) Program at Mercy College of Ohio oversees organization, administration, fiscal management, and strategic leadership of the PA program, including supervision of the Medical Director, faculty, and staff. Ensures accreditation compliance (ARC-PA), oversight of program assessment and site visits, maintains accreditation status, and facilitates collaboration across stakeholders. Responsible for delivering high-quality didactic education and supervised clinical experiences, coordinating with ODHE and HLC standards, managing budget and resources, and supporting enrollment management (CASPA) and curriculum development. Requires graduate degree (Master of Physician Assistant) with NCCPA certification and Ohio licensure or licensure eligibility; 3-5 years of PA practice and 3-5 years of PA program faculty/admin experience; rank at Assistant Professor or higher. The role focuses on leadership, program quality, accreditation compliance, educational excellence, and strategic operations within Mercy College of Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Degree (Masters) in Physician Assistant or related field
- Current NCCPA certification
- State of Ohio license or license eligible or emeritus NCCPA certification status
- Minimum 3-5 years as a Physician Assistant
- Minimum 3-5 years as PA program faculty member with administrative experience in a Master of Physician Assistant Studies program
- Experience with ARC-PA accreditation process
- Ability to teach and manage an academic department
- Strong communication with internal and external constituencies
- Eligibility for rank at Assistant Professor or above
