Job Summary
Lead strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Mesa Community Action Network, managing the Workforce Program, Weatherization Program, CAP, West Valley VITA, and SOAR Benefits Program. Develop, implement, and evaluate program goals while recruiting, supervising, and coaching staff to foster accountability. Administer budgets, oversee grant compliance with CSBG and state regulations, and monitor performance data to drive continuous quality improvement. Serve as the primary staff liaison to the MesaCAN Tripartite Board, preparing agendas and performance updates. Build collaborative relationships with funding agencies, government entities, and community stakeholders to secure resources and expand program impact. Represent the organization in community meetings and coalitions. Primarily office-based with regular travel to program sites and occasional evening or weekend work for board meetings. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field, five years of leadership experience, and a Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or a closely related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in community action, human services, workforce development, housing, nonprofit management, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising, coaching, and developing employees
- Experience administering federally and/or state-funded grants, contracts, and programs, including budget development and oversight, regulatory compliance, and performance reporting
- Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
- Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- DCS Central Registry Background Check
- Drug Screening
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Therapeutic Options Training
- Valid Unrestricted Driver's License
- Current Auto Liability Insurance
- 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- Experience with Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), or other publicly funded programs
- Experience supporting or serving as the primary staff liaison to a governing board, advisory board, or similar oversight body
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with government agencies, community organizations, employers, educational institutions, funding partners, and other stakeholders
- Experience using operational and performance data to evaluate program outcomes, support continuous quality improvement, and achieve organizational goals
