Job Summary
Program Director – Medical Assisting leads the planning, development, and daily operations of the Medical Assisting program, mentors faculty, oversees curriculum quality, and ensures student success and academic excellence. The role involves budget preparation and fiscal administration, curriculum development, determining teaching assignments, supervision and evaluation of faculty, managing extramural clinical facilities and partnerships, coordinating instruction in those facilities, and maintaining ceremonial and advisory records. The candidate will monitor program outcomes, maintain compliance with accreditation and regulatory bodies (e.g., California Department of Consumer Affairs, ACCSC, BPPE, DOE, Title IV), visit extramural facilities, facilitate annual Program Advisory Committee meetings, and sustain strong relationships within a diverse staff and student population. A Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant work experience and active credentials as a Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA) are required. The position emphasizes leadership, mentorship, data-driven performance metrics, organizational and communication skills, and participation on a high-performing team.
