Job Summary
Program Director leads the development of a vibrant, student-centered housing culture and oversees residential operations for Lane College, with a mandatory live-on assignment. The role drives student engagement, belonging, accountability, and holistic student development; designs and implements outcomes-based programming; enforces housing policies and community standards; coordinates residence hall operations, occupancy, and safety; manages incident documentation and emergency response; and prepares reports on residential programming and operational performance in collaboration with campus partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Education, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in housing, residence life, or student affairs
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement student engagement and programming initiatives
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, student-centered environment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, or related field (preferred)
- Experience in residential programming, student engagement, or campus life initiatives
- Experience with housing operations or occupancy management systems
- Experience in crisis response and conflict resolution
- Ability to cultivate a strong, inclusive residential community
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student information systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and staff
